CE Smith Custom Cabinets & Countertops has donated cabinets and countertops to Habitat for Humanity of Omaha Builder Blitz Partner Kiewit Construction for the future home of the Kee Pyaw and Mee Chaw family.
Their journey started in a guarded refugee camp in Thailand. Kee Pyaw lived in the camp for 17 years and Mee Chaw for 8 years. Kee moved to the United States in 2010, leaving his two oldest children and Mee Chaw in the camp. Once the rest of the family arrived in New York a year later, they realized how expensive the city was and decided to uproot again and move to Omaha. They look forward to building a home in Omaha and can hardly wait for the room to play outside.
The struggle of the camp is behind them, but will never be forgotten as they take advantage of their many earned freedoms in the United States and in their Habitat for Humanity of Omaha house.
